L'opera di Carlos Carlč sotto il profilo del contenuto ha radice in una ricca attitudine di "anŕmnesi", di recupero di un passato e di un presente ambedue lontani. Per questo risveglia in noi echi di ricordi di qualcosa che forse non abbiamo conosciuto, di un mondo denso e in un certo modo atemporale. Tale capacitŕ di evocazione esercitata sullo spettatore č propria delle grandi opere d'arte. Come riesce Carlos Carlč a suggestionarci fino a tal punto? La risposta č la stessa che vale per tutti gli artisti che hanno raggiunto lo scopo nella storia dell'arte: fondendo il senso della forma, del colore e della tecnica in queste opere, che hanno a fondamento due primarie figure geometriche: il piano e la sfera.
Su di esse lavora le superfici con una grande ricchezza di dettagli. La "pelle" del grčs si converte in un microcosmo nel quale i colori della terra, patinati nei toni grigio antracite o opachi, giocano con il rilievo e a volte con un tono di blu di sorprendente poesia. La dimensione dei pezzi non č estranea al sentimento che suscitano, per il fatto che non solo quelle di grande formatoma anche quelle di piccola misura esprimono un'atmosfera di monumentalitŕ contenuta, controllata, un senso severo e bello che fanno di esse uno dei poli di attrazione della ceramica europea dei nostri giorni.

The content of the work of Carlos Carlč has its rootsin a sort of anamnesis, in the research of a both far past and present. For this reason it arouses ecoes of unknown memories of a dense world without time.
The capacity of evocation exercised on the audience is peculiar of the great works of art. How can Carlos Carlč influence us to such an extent? The answer is the same for all the artists who have a place in the history of art.
He can melt the sense of form, of colour and of technique in his works which are based on two primary geometrical figures: the plane and the sphere.
He works the surfaces of the figures with a great wealth of details.
The "skin" of the stoneware turns into a microcosm where the colurs of earth, glazed in gray anthracite or dull tones, play with the relief and, at times, with a blue tone full of astonishing poetry.
Both the big and the small pieces express an athmosphere of restrained monumentality, a severe and fine sense that makes them one of the poles of attraction of European ceramics today.
