Sono ora alle pareti, questi reperti appena liberati dalla terra che li ha celati per secoli alla vista dell’uomo. Si mostrano portatori di segni di grande modernità e tradotti porterebbero rivelazioni sull’evoluzione della specie umana. Interessante lasciarli suggerire, nella ritmata composizione grafica, storie comuni alla civiltà mediterranea. Questa sussurrata familiarità tra uomo e pesce diventa chiaramente leggibile nella forma armonica ed essenziale di Sakanà, bronzo nero nato dallo splendido esemplare ricavato nel marmo di Carrara.
I materiali che Nino Ventura combina sapientemente sono quelli che, fin dalle origini, l’uomo impiega per tramandare sapere, pensiero ed immagini, con un gusto artistico che ha le basi nella conoscenza degli elementi che lo circondano. La terra, quella rossa di Castellamonte, si combina con il bronzo, il legno, la lava, le sabbie marine, i pigmenti e gli sn~alti, generando sensazioni e raccontando storie di epoche lontane.
Il titolo Mediterraneo terra mia, ha origine da un profondo legame dell’autore con uno spazio geografico che è da sempre culla di civiltà, di scambi, di contaminazioni culturali.
Nino Ventura è riuscito ad elaborare un linguaggio universalmente comprensibile, nella sua sintesi di linguaggi espressivi che hanno tracciato le rotte del Mediterraneo facendone quel ricchissimo tessuto di culture che è oggi.

Now, this finds are hanging on the walls, only just cleared from the earth that has concealed them from the human sight, throughout centuries. They seem like great modernity hearers and if deeply expressed, they could disclose mankind evolution.
It’s interesting to let them suggest, in their rhythmical graphic composition, stories about Mediterranean civilisation. This longed human familiarity with fishes becomes clear in Sakana’s harmonic and essential shape, a black bronze obtained from a Carrara marble sculpture. The materials, Nino Ventura skilfully matches, are the same ones men used, from the very beginning, to hand down to posterity knowledge, thought and images, showing artistry in the awareness of the surrounding elements.The warmly red Castellamonte clay joins to bronze, wood, lava, sand, pigments and enamels, giving sensations and telling us earliest times stories.The title Mediterraneo Terra Mia springs from the author’s deep connection with a geographic area that has always been cradle of civilisation, of cultural exchanges and contamination. Nino Ventura has succeeded in elaborating an universally intelligible language, with a synthesis of meaningful languages that have marked out the Mediterranean courses, rnaking out the actual rich blend of different cultures.
